Great Camground, Little Cover
0 % of users found this review helpful
I stayed at the Red North Hills campground over Memorial Day 2012. This is a nice campground with great views of the lake. There are no hook ups and be prepared for unlevel drive-thru camp sites if you are towing a trailer. There is a nice, updated playground for kids and plenty of space between camp sites. Drinking water is available, but that's about it. Seminoe state park is at 6200 ft and is typically windy year-round. When I visited, the winds were extremely high so I wouldn't recommend to tent campers unless the forecast looks clear. It would be nice to have more trees for shade and wind protection, but overall a nice campground. Beautiful scenery and LOTS of wildlife. If you have an ATV or motorcycle, there are sand dunes and miles of trails to explore. This is a great base camp for fishing Seminoe resevoir and the Miracle Mile as well

Move the dumpsters!
100 % of users found this review helpful
We absolutely loved Seminoe Reservoir - good fishing, fun water sports from the sandy beaches. Go prepared, it is a long drive to Rawlins if you don't have most of what you need. There is a store at the Boat Club, with limited supplies. You can get ice and gas there, though.
My one complaint is that they should move the dumpsters to a location not right next to the camp sites - maybe by the restrooms or dump station. When the wind switches direction and blows toward the campsites, they smell terrible!
We stayed in the North Red Hills site.

unfair charge
50 % of users found this review helpful
I think we paid "WAY" to much for "1 campsite" I paid $42.00 to reserve the site for two nites and a day and a half. Then when the ranger came around he charged $20.00 for the other cars that were there which were 3 that was a total of $102.00. So if we as a resident of Wyoming could just go to the lake as we used to be able to we would have only paid $20.00 each for the weekend so it would have work out to only be $80.00 for all of us. I feel we are due a refund of $22.00
